Scholarship

The tuition fee is estimated at NTD 57,880~58,280/per semester, and the living cost is about NTD 10,000/per month. Applicants who need financial aid can apply for scholarships from different ministries of Taiwan, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The number of scholarship recipients for each country varies annually, so please contact local Taiwan Representative Offices for more information. Moreover, NSYSU offers scholarships to international students, and there are other scholarships for students with brilliant performances from the College of Engineering.

Government Scholarships
Stipends are paid on the 20th of every month, however, September and February stipends are paid along with stipends in the next month due to the unavoidable registration process.

Type A:
  1. Tuition waiver.
  2. Monthly stipend of TWD15,000 (≒USD500).
Type B:
  1. Tuition waiver
  2. Monthly stipend of TWD15,000 (≒USD500).
  3. On-campus student dormitory fee waiver.
  1. The maximum duration is 3 years.
  2. The recipient’s academic performance is reviewed each semester by the advisor to receive the scholarship for the subsequent semester.
  3. Applicants receiving either Type A or Type B will be decided by the scholarship review committee.

Master

Tuition waiver

  1. The maximum duration is 2 years.
  2. The recipient is required to maintain a semester GPA of 3.38 or above (or a percentile score of 80%+) to receive the scholarship for the subsequent semester.

Bachelor

Monthly stipend of TWD6,000

  1. Initial award for 1 year. Recipients can apply for the subsequent year. No scholarship will be awarded to students in their extended period of study (5th year).
  2. The recipient’s academic performance is reviewed at the end of the semester. A semester GPA of 2.44 or above (or a percentile score of 70%+) is required to receive the scholarship for the subsequent semester.
  3. The monthly stipend does not include a tuition waiver.
